Yes. The Knight Rider Film, published in February 2008, starts with an attack to Charles Graiman, who assisted in developing KITT in the 80’s. In the meantime he built a new KITT, the Knight Industries Three Thousand, who is able to flee from the gangsters. For such case, he had programmed KITT to call on his daughter Sarah Graiman. Afterwards, together they sally out to find Sarah’s school day friend, Mike Traceur. While the inhumation of Graimans mother, who has been killed by the same gangsters, it transpired, that Mike is the son of Michael Knight.
In the film David Hasselhoff slipped into the role of Michael Knight for a short performance. Until now it is unknown, if he will take a part in the new series, but it is not excluded. There are very intensive discussions between David and the responsible persons. As a mater of principle, they agreed that Michael shall appear – but only for special missions. And also it is not excluded, that Michael with KITT, the Knight Industrie Two Thousand, will come into operation. The suspense continues.
The base of the new KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) is not a Trans AM anymore like in the 80’s, but a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR. He is fitted out with the newest technology. Here you will get further information: KITT / Knight Rider trailers & pictures
No, the Semi has not been seen at any time. As well as in the pilot, it will not come into operation, because it came across as very embarrassing. KITT will be serviced in the KITT Cave.
Definitely, Devon Miles will not appear, because of the fact the actor Edward Mulhare died in 1997. So there are only some clippings from the 80’s imaginable. Reportedly, they wanted to get in touch with Patricia McPherson, who has embodied Bonnie Barstow. But if there will result an engagement is incalculable. It is more supposable, that there will appear KARR or another bad vehicle. Whether Garth Knight will arise is currently long shot.
No they aren’t. In the 80’s, the series and the characters have been formed by Glen A. Larson, but he has no bearing on the actual production on NBC. Far from it, he formal distance himself from it. He plans a cine film which won’t be linked to the series on NBC. But naturally the background of the new Knight Rider series is from Larson’s ideas from the 80’s.
